No, that does make sense (re: dubs). It is also certainly true that US/Canadian anime dubs *used* to be pretty universally awful, but that's no longer the case. The FMA dub is actually really well done - but as you say, I'm used to hearing people who sound like that.

As for Yohji and Ken... well, hell, Omi-lemons kind of squick me out just because of the way Omi is drawn in the anime (Gluhen-era Mamoru, all bets are off), and I just don't *like* Aya. Never mind that they're the most canonically *likely* to be having tons of mad hot sex. Which they are.
