Further Piles of Woe
People on Gaia Online are not only stupid, bad RPers and prone to oversharing about the most ridiculous personal crises ever, they also have no taste.

Proof? No, it's not the scenewhore photos, it's their avatars. For every one person who actually tries to take the time to make their avatar look decent, there's twenty people wearing every free item known to man, thirty people who think a great avatar uses every item in a set and leaves it at that, fifty generic n00bs in generic n00b clothing, and five people who have decided their idea of a really awesome avatar is one that uses EVERYTHING IN THEIR INVENTORY.

The difference between these hideous things and the last lot I discovered is that where the last ones were people's fantasy avatars, most of which were impossible to create due to the huge amounts of virtual money that would have been needed to create them, and the massive layering conflicts they'd have caused, these are examples of people's actual avatars. Someone on Gaia had to earn the virtual gold for all of these items - a lot of which, like the white kitty plush and glowy staff... thing, are actually really expensive - throw them all on in one hideous mismatched muddle, then sit back and think 'yeah, I am totally rockin' this cluttered multicolored shit-pile look!'.

As far as I can tell, only one person here actually wanted to rock the multicolored shit-pile look and was trying to replicate it deliberately. The rest I must presume genuinely do think they look awesome.

So, how bad are they? Well...

... yeah, pretty much that. (The only stereotypical one I'm missing is the clutter-pile of demonic crap, and I'm sure I'll find one of those in time for the next of these OMG-MY-EYES posts I secretly enjoy way too much.) That's what I mean when I talk of hideous multicolored cluttered piles of woeful eyeraping crap posing as actual forum avatars, and I think it's pretty damn obvious as to why I do. I'm really coming to hate the Wild Things and that stupid, tacky, cheap-ass Skittles Rainbow. I don't even get what the point if these hideous things is when you can't even see half the OMG-SHINY items some of these idiots have equipped!

At least there are rather less random weapons in the actual avatars as there were in the piles of fantasy eyerape I found last time - perhaps because when making an avatar for real, you can only equip one weapon in each hand at once...
