Another post for the sake of it, because hey - I wanted to post something on December 31. It just seemed... right, somehow, no matter how irrelevant said post might happen to be. Partly I'm doing it because I want to, partly to piss off my brother because I'm sick of him treating the Internet like his own private toy which the rest of us are grudgingly allowed to use only at his discretion. Deep down, I'm a vindictive twelve-year-old and oh how I love it.
What better way to prove that than uselessly tying up the net?
... I would answer my comments too, but that I fear would really be pushing it.
Anyway - 2006 tomorrow. Gosh. Doesn't time fly and oh my god I'm scared, I qualify in 2006. All the same, I won't be sorry to see the back of 2005, the year of exhaustion and Hell. Best thing about it was all the cool new people I met. I'll remember 2005 for that at least.
How am I planning to celebrate? By sitting indoors writing. Happy 2006, have some bad fanfiction. Well... eventually. I'm nowhere near able to get anything posted any time soon, though the Sue parody's proving fun. I spent most of last night trying to maneuever Aya toward rescuing the Sue (the mischaracterization! It burnses us, preciousssss!), who I've grieviously injured but regrettably she has to survive in order for the fic to work. I'm just having Weiss rescue her because it's SUCH A HORRIBLE CLICHE. I did have fun with my first Useless Suethor Clothing Description at Inopportune Moment, though. Yup. The Sue's bleeding in an alleyway and I'm going on about her tee-shirt. I am truly a Mary Sue ficcer!
Which reminds me - I need a Tokyo subway map. It's vital for my fanfic. Yup, 'Seuche' is branching off in weird directions which are requiring me to actually do some actual research. All I can say is thank the Gods for Wikipedia. Where else would a random British girl find out about the Tokyo subway?
Thankfully, we also have Google. How I love Google. I don't think I love Tokyo Subway maps, though. Good God, and I thought the London underground maps were bad. How do the Japanese do it? I guess they really must be right when they say Japanese people are generally cleverer than Westerners. If they can understand that thing, they have to be. As to why writing 'Seuche' has demanded I get hold of a Tokyo Subway map, well, that would be telling. I'm not going to tell you! Read the fic. Not that it'll explain why I need it right now anyway. Those who want to know will find out soon enough anyway.
... I want to do another badfic report. Some chance of that, though. Bah!
Anyway, I should probably go do something productive. I told my family I was down here to sort out 'something to do with my homepage' - namely renewing my hosting. Thankfully they don't seem to have spotted the credit card...
Anyway. Happy New Year and all that...
