Whee, I like wasting time doing daft memes. Yes, I know - memes are stupid, pointless and don't really mean a whole lot of anything, even if you sometimes get some interestring results back off them - I'm thinking of making one for Mary Sues, myself. There's just one problem - they're a lot of fun, even if it does take a while to find a decent one. Or at least they're more fun than revising, at any rate.
I did this one with my pen name rather than my Lj user ID. It seemed apposite, after all, given that the meme in question was about fanfic writing. Wasn't thinking much of it while I waited for the page to finish loading but then I actually got the answers back...
... I mean, Jesus. Check this thing out!
Worrying, isn't it? There I was thinking that memes are pointless and utterly unable to provide any insight into an individual's character whatsoever and then this thing shows up and I'm forced to face the unpalatable truth. It knows me. The meme sees into my very soul, recognizes it's warped, blackened angst ficcer's interior and lays the very essence of it bare for all eyes to see... the power and skill of it, it terrifies me! I guess I have to take everything back about memes being pointless, because that one certainly isn't anything of the sort. The perspicacity of the thing almost scares me.
After that, the next one was a bit of a letdown. It's just another random 'I did it cause it had pictures' quiz, and about the only remarkable thing about it was at least I didn't come out looking like a total Mary Sue this time...
My inner anime fairy reminds me of Belial, which is at least mildly amusing.
And then there's this. Oh, this.
Sadly for me, they didn't have a fandom I really felt attatched to so I just ran through the lot and picked the answer I liked best. There were other Sue Generators, but I liked this one best because it actually generated a Mary Sue Name from my username, which made it all the better. I never know how to handle other Mary Sue generators - should I put in myscreen name, my user name or my paradigm Sue name? Sue Names - God, they make me laugh. The funniest thing about them is you can just bet the author is an incredibly mousy little bundle named Suzie Balch and she's fantasizing herself as some sultry, purple-eyed sex goddess with the impluasible name of Aurora DeBeumarchais....
I still want to make a Mary Sue Generator at some point - and, when I do, I am definitely adding my own collection of Sue Names...
Anyway, that was a pleasant enough waste of time. Now I'm going to go eat something, surprisingly enough because I'm feeling really hungry. It's tipping it down with rain outside, which is nice. I like rain. I like not being out in it at the moment as well, it's very nice.
*stares aimlessly out of window for a while then snaps out of it and goes to do something more productive*
