That's absolutely fine. May I return the favor?

The thing about Weiss is we didn't used to get Sues. I've been in this fandom at least five years (though it's only recently I started getting active) and prior to the US DVD release we didn't have this problem with Sues. Lame slash fics and stupid parodies, sure, but Sue fics? Not really. Now they're breeding like bunnies and it leaves me very dispirited, largely because Weiss is one of the few fandoms out there in which slash is far more logical, given the premise, than finding true romance with miss wonderful could ever be.

(It doesn't help that the Sues are usually bestest assassin EVAH and outclass all the regulars at both their day- and night jobs whilst being deeply perfect and beautiful and angsting far more legitimately than any of the other characters have any right to. The problem here is that the canon characters have a lot of angst as it is, but Sues always have to out-angst the regulars so they immediately feel sorry for her, with predictable and hideous results as the Sue's back story instantly becomes so overblown and wangsty it's impossible to take seriously.)
