Don't Look Now.
Oh no, not more Gaia avatars.

Yes. More Gaia avatars. Because you know, my LJ, I like them, I'm backdating them and I want to get that last post o' maximum whine off my front page as soon as possible. I don't much like my occasional bouts of e/n. I admit that they're kind of what Livejournal is for and that venting dioes help, but I also find them boring, annoying and rather self-indulgent. Consequently, here are some more of my Gaia avatars to push it further down the page and lose it beneath gratuitous shiny of the 'ridonkulous pixel-doll' school.

In this instalment silvia discovers the joys of crafted items. One of the features of Gaia's life-eating MMO is that you the player can craft items for their avatar using in-game loot drops, if you have the right amounts of in-game loot to do so. A vast quantity of these avatars have crafted items on them now, because I really like a lot of them and it gives one a weird sense of accomplishment to have a pixel item they made from other pixel items they had to go and collect. It's at least a lot more interesting than posting and vending for all the virtual monies, and some of the crafted items are actually really nice. If, sometimes, a bit of a bitch to actually use in any interesting way.

Fifteen out of the eighteen avatars I'm posting here make some use of crafted items, including the avatar with the pink hair and the dirty great axe, which I crafted to prove I'd completed a truly godawful quest chain in a truly godawful area. It's also a pretty awesome axe.

... yeah. I like crafted items. Coal sprite FTW.

In case you're wondering what those two bad-taste eyesores in the middle of the second row are, I was busily and gleefully celebrating something called Clementine Day. I'll spare you the details, but on Clementine Day users made the most clutterfucky, bad-taste avatar they could possibly come up with in which they threw on as many expensive items as they could in eye-bleeding combinations of brainraep regardless of the small fact that the resulting avatars usually look like crap. In fact, looking like crap is rather the point.

My current avatar is the blue one at the very bottom. I really like it, so it may be my current one for quite a while.
