[Initiating Selfpimp Engine Version 3.1]
Those of you who read this journal regularly (hi to all of you who are only here for the fanfic updates and I promise I will update Seuche someday) may well be aware thanks to my frequent babbling that I have an RP partner and fandom twin called [livejournal.com profile] pichi.

You will probably also be aware that she is made of awesome. She wrote Divided We Stand which is one of the best case-based fics Weiss Kreuz fandom has boasted in many a long year, and has brilliant RP ideas and is generally amazing and awesome. And she'll probably kill me for writing this but it's true, dammit, TRUE.

So, [livejournal.com profile] pichi is awesome and has some awesome ideas; fortunately for my own self-esteem I am assured that I can keep up with her. I am here today to introduce the hapless denizens of my friendslist to one of the many equally hapless plotlines that have fallen prey to our combined powers, because I think what's coming out is Just That Great.

Trial By Fire

It was supposed to be a simple assignment: go in, get the target, go home - but there's no such thing as simplicity for an assassin. After a mis-step on a mission leaves one of the team seriously wounded, Weiss find themselves having to deal not only with their targets and each other, but with several unexpected challenges. How can any team handle an untried, untested agent when even their floor plan's conspiring against them?

The plan, ultimately, is to release this as a fanfic. The entire story is planned out and we know exactly where we're going: we're simply RPing it because 1. Our writing styles mesh very well and it'll make the finished product a lot more spiffy and 2. It's fun.

In an attempt to get the story finished sometime before the last trump, [livejournal.com profile] pichi and I have decided to move the game from an email log lurking on our Gmail accounts over to Livejournal. We're currently working on posting the archives - in the interests of not swamping any hapless watchers with posts, they're being posted at the rate of two or three a day - but hopefully, when we've caught up with said archives, we'll be able to maintain the schedule with shiny new stuff.

Much of the archive is friendslocked, but if the teaser leaves anyone out there wanting more, feel free to join the community. We have absolutely no objection to being watched while we work, and any feedback would be gratefully recieved.

The whole thing is accesible at [livejournal.com profile] trialbyfirerp. Further information can be found on the community homepage.
