Dear Fangirl who reviewed That SchuKen Fic,
I'm extremely flattered that you liked my fic enough to leave me a review. I'm even more gratified that, in spite of the fact that you weren't really in the mood for my particular brand of storytelling, you carried on reading anyway. It does my heart good to know that you were interested enough in the story I was telling to finish it even if it wasn't precisely what you needed to cheer yourself up of an evening. I really do appreciate you taking the time to review and tell me you thought it was good. It makes me feel like I'm doing something right.
So yes, I'm glad you read it and that you liked it even if it was a bit of a downer. I've just got one question. If what you wanted was to cheer yourself up, why in the flaming Hell were you reading that fic?
Why, if you were feeling generally pretty shitty and wanted some light relief, would you go read a story which was clearly labeled as contaning some extremely dark themes? Which had several disclaimers warning about such pleasantries as heavy angst, violence and non-consensual sex? Why for the love of God, Xenu and Alan Rickman would you think that a not-amazingly-graphic but nonetheless lengthy story in which Ken Hidaka is tortured and raped in front of his best friend was the perfect way to lift your mood? I thought it was pretty damn obvious a Schuldich x Ken rapefic wasn't exactly going to be all bubbles and candy. Call me weird but if I was looking for light relief I probably wouldn't read a story whose basic premise was that Violent Rape Fucks Its Victims Over.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you read it and grateful for the feedback. Just... what the Hell?
Love and Severe Confusion,
laila.
... also, other Youji x Ken ficcers aside from, um, me and the three I know personally?
EXIST, DAMMIT!
fanficrants, etcetera.
