... the one time I don't want an online store to be quick off the blocks and Japanqueen goes and processes my order within a few hours - hours, mark you - of getting it. That's never happened to me before. And it's the one time I could really have done with getting another couple days' leeway on the thing.
As a result of yesterday's little credit card debacle (see previous post if you're really that interested - and I wouldn't blame you if you weren't since God knows I'm not), I won't actually be able to make payment until the freaking seventh of next month at the very earliest thanks to the damn Bank Holiday, and the deadline for the order is the eleventh. I can't use my debit cards either because my card isn't cool enough for Kagi to play with. I hate cutting things fine so this is going to annoy the crap out of me. Especially seeing as they've got everything I wanted to order. I want my secondhand manga, damn it.
... damn fangirl Ken obsession...
Does someone up there want to piss me off?
Sod. I might just agree to pay the £70 surcharge and have done with it, because that way the damn card will at least be useable sometime in the next couple of days even if it does cost me a bit more in the long run (my fault for missing a payment, I guess). I think I'll sleep on it before I make my mind up about this, but seeing as I want to take a nap anyway that shouldn't be too difficult - I got something like four hours' sleep last night what with my nervous tension about this, that and the other, and that was good for my class. Just as long as I wake up sometime before nine to call up the nice women in New Delhi or wherever, if I decide in favor of paying the excess and having a working credit card after Bank Holiday Monday. I swear that call centre was one of the notorious Indian ones.
Anything else happened today? Oh yeah... exam.
Could have been better, could have been worse. I had a fair selection of Questions I could do easily (the Sympathetic Nervous System, the Intrinsic Conduction Pathways of the Heart), Questions I was not entirely sure upon but carried on regardless (the Reproductive System), things I had no freaking idea about but had a stab at because I needed to try and scrape a few marks on (the Digestive System) and Questions that weren't there and should have been (Cardiac Output, Partial Pressure of Gases in the Alveoli, Action Potentials). So it wasn't too bad, but even so there were moments when I felt like trying to slit my wrists with the lid of my biro.
Speaking of College - it's funny the way you kind of forget about some of your coursemates during a holiday. Got in sometime this morning and suddenly remembered that all the people I was on a course with, some of whom I had conveniently blocked from my mind because they were 1. scary, 2. mad, 3. just plain obnoxious or 4. all three at once. It's never nice when that happens, for all I'm used to it. Oh well, at least I've got one exam out of the way - one more to go.
Going to go and read Something Awful and do more crazy memes now. Yes, I'm bored. No, I don't want to start revising again just yet. Yes, I will be glad when this week is over.
