I guess Omi attracts a lot of Sues because he's cute and a lot of Sue ficcers are around about fifteen or sixteen. Meaning that they're just the right age to find going for the poor kid 'appropriate' (because of course since they're about 16 it goes without saying that their OC must be about 16 too). Going for anyone older would probably invoke the 'OMG that's pedophilia' reaction again and make them feel all uncomfortable. I've come across a terrible OC fic right now - another 'Calico', no less - where the OC dresses up in male drag because yup, you guessed it, she's been raped but falling for Omi is going to cure ALL her freaking problems.

Worse, it's one where Aya gets an OC too. Youji and Ken are Youji and Ken and so aren't considered worth the hassle by the author, perhaps because they're too stable and 'non-angstable' in the anime to be much use. Good. Leave them alone. They're obviously together anyway so no OCs, please. And no, I can't get over Farf Sues either. What ficcer in her right mind would suggest her OC was attracted to Farfarello? Pth, bet they even make him all non-psychotic just for her.
Maybe if they'd given us 10 soots and not 5 we'd have done better with getting actual people or book characters into that list. Five only gives me enough space for anime boys. And I had to leave Schuldich out, too, which sucks. And I liked that about Marvin too... the helmet and the black dot for a face. He was hilarious.Yup, it is the whole 'invasion' thing that makes alien invaders cool. Just once, I'd like to see a sci-fi movie where humans invade the aliens and kick ass. That would be fun.
