Oh, working on the unit itself wasn't so bad. It was more that the midwives were both rushed off their feet, everything was hectic and yet I barely did anything all day and - put simply - I was bored. I hate being bored. Being bored when all around you are stressing out and are rushed off their feet, too, makes a girl feel pretty useless, so I really didn't like it much...

I'm getting sick of all this 'only there to observe' stuff. It sounds like an easy ride, but what it is in reality is... it's dull. Maybe you saw the unit on a saner day, and the staff had a bit more time to spend with you. Me, I just got underfoot and read the policies document when I wasn't reading a stray Metro that had somehow wound up in the office with me. Glad to hear you enjoued it, though. :)
