Stupid is about the word for it. I couldn't believe it myself. It makes me wonder how she passes her assessments - if she does pass her assessments. The difference between her attitude and that of the other third year students is amazing. I mean, I'm in the year below and I think I'm more together than she is. One of the staff nurses thought she was a second year the other day, which I guess says something - when I was in the first year the staff used to think I was in the year above, which was cool - but someone thinking you're in the year below is not a good sign.

And worse, yup... of course, it could always be worse. But you're utterly right about how 'it's not my job' is really not any kind of excuse. You're working there - why isn't it your job when any of us could have done it? I mean, it's not like its outside her role. I bet she didn't answer the call because the person who was ringing wasn't in her bay. If that happens to me I'll give it a moment (so someone who is looking after that person can answer the call) but if nobody shows up I'll do it my damn self. You can't see what's going on up there so it might be urgent - in the case in point it was, as one of the patients was in danger of falling and the guy opposite had called for help.

I have given in. It's too bad, but I discovered this evil monstrosity (with sequel, no less) which boasts no less than three freakin' OCs, all of whom are naturally better than the regulars at everything ever. We seriously had the 'it's not Weiss we can't deal with, it's that Calico girl and that bandit woman they've got helping them we can't handle!' moment. And the OC joined Weiss after butting in on a fight, not because Kritiker sent her there. Oh, and the OC (she was raped, so she disguised herself as a boy! her parents were murdered, so she's Really Goddamn Angsty! Amazing!) told her older brother she was working as an assassin, rendering the whole idea of 'cover' rather moot...

There is one positive about that fic, though. Nothing's ever stated in the story itself but, going by their actions, Youji and Ken are blatantly FUCKING LIKE WEASELS. There's way more chemistry between the pair of them than there ever is between Omi and the dippy OC, or Aya and the 'bandit'. They're obviously at it, and it's great.
